Kit Kat Launches New Creative Mobile-Themed Website: The Future of Confectionery has Arrived

Since the news of the Kit Kat and Android partnership, Kit Kat has released a new and improved mobile themed website that uniquely integrates tech and smart phone campaign ideas. Their delivery of “the future of confectionery” is very user friendly yet sophisticated. Personally, I was reminded of Apple’s sleek iPhone internet advertisements because of Kit Kat’s use of rich eye-catching images.

screen shot 2013-09-03 at 5.37.53 pmThe ad itself is broken up into the different components such as design, pioneering, hardware, features, accessories, and tech specs but begins with a page presenting the ‘Kit Kat 4.4’. I found that their savvy approach to finding ways to describe a Kit Kat as a new phone was great. I had fun interacting with the website and reading the comical points they made such as “As famous for its inside as its outside. Thanks to its world-renowned, tri-core, wafer thin CPU with full chocolate coverage”.

screen shot 2013-09-03 at 5.41.07 pmNot only did the website leave me seriously craving for a Kit Kat, but its creativity and use of tech jargon like the ‘Cloud’ makes me want to share it with others. I enjoyed looking and reading about the new Kit Kat 4.4 This was a smart move for Kit Kat because it gives them a sense of new identity without having to change a single thing. With Google publicly stating that the new Android smart phone operating system will be called ‘Kit Kat’, the Hershey Company has joined the social media bandwagon.
